Claws of the Clock
If I could change one thing, it would be time. If I could pause the greedy hands of the clock to present you one more minute of my attention, I would. Freeze this moment and remember it:
when it was 4 a.m. and you walked me to the bathroom because I was safe from the dark with you;
when I banged both my knees chasing you around the house because you're a goof and it makes me smile;
when we sat under the tree and promised forever because where else are we going to find something so beautiful?
Screw time and all her jealousy. She can end those moments, but she can never keep them. They are ours to share and I will share them with you as long as her envy flows.
