Clay

I'm just clay I mold myself depending on who's with me Change into what they want me to be Then I sit there as they react to me As if I'm a film and they're the movie critic And rarely do I recognize myself in the moment I've memorized all the lines to every character I play And I don't remember who I am anymore I take other people's opinions and actions and make them my own I'm just clay I'm an expert at being anything and anyone but myself I'll sweat and bleed to seek your approval Because I look for validation to make my existence valid I don't know who I am I don't know anything really I'm just clay

Like the geisha. Beautiful and tormented.
