A Cleaner Car

As time and evolution tell

We all must change to do well.

We start our life out so concerned

With every problem we discern

Who likes who and what's the weather,

And who is going where together.

Now that I’ve become adult

I realize that mindset’s fault.

You should not care what others do,

You should just worry about you

Don’t dwell on things you can’t adjust

Or else your head will simply bust.

As a wise old woman said to me

“Although rain is not my cup of tea,

Worrying won’t get me far.

At least I’ll have a cleaner car”

She told me this while talking small,

But I was taken by it all.

The only thing that’s worth distress

Are worries that I can address.

Why stress about the way things are

If rain makes for a cleaner car?
