Cleaning the Mirror

I look in the mirror and faintly see a girl.

She lives for perfection, but she is never satisfied.

She needs change to be a better her.

To be the best that she could possibly be, not from anyone's opinion but her own.

She stares at me as if she can't seem to grasp what's in front of her.

I then get a towel and wipe the mirror so that she could see clearly.

She looked at me with bright eyes bigger than the sun.

At that moment I realized all she needed was not to change herself,

but to change her surroundings.

I look at the mirror and distinctly see a girl.
