Clear

I want to float arms outstretched into the lazy blue sky Where nothing but wind and feather can touch me, And old men and women can never make decisions Which affect the outcome of my life. I want to seep into the world and fall in between the cracks Where the sun never shines and the only thing you see Are the bottoms of the soles of the shoes Of the men and women walking above you. I wish to flow into silky oceans of love and life Where the strange slumbering creatures of the deep Bump along the ridges of the bottom of the world, And where silent hot volcanoes empty into the seas Mixing with the saline waters to form twisting and intertwined statues. I need to shoot into space and love the curve of gravity Of a distant, beckoning, black hole Where I will be sucked into the violent maelstrom Of crazy subatomic particles that fall away And towards one another at the same time, Leaving me breathless and deathless and afraid of my own shadow- It threatens to leave me alone with my thoughts of eternity and regret. There is an energy that I ride that carries me deep inside Into ‘the myself’ that I fear and love and wish for you to know. It is the only thing that truly makes sense to me- Leaving me with the ultimate certainty That meaning is never clear in a perfectly imperfect world.
