Clear Sky with Knives

Really?

You thought it would be easy

That cloud still over you

You ain't shining

That hand still over your face

You aint breathing

Comfortable is my weakness

Success is my fear

This isn't a “sad” poem

I'm just going thru the crisis on whos really there

Sometimes my eyes get bloodshot

Not from smoking but just from reminiscing on how far I came

I heard a lot of ways from making it to the top

Slowly pursuing those steps

Nobody invested in me so I had to invest in myself

When people ask me about my past

I just throw a bandaid on it like nothing was really there

Cut thru me and i'll tell you to dig deeper

My time is now

My success is near

I'm tired of putting my hand out

Imma keep my hand in my pockets

Until there's too much money, that my hands stand out

Hard times

You don't know what I dreamt bout

Greed is our ultimate evil

But I have to get mine before you get yours

Sickens my stomach, I need so much more

You got one mouth, two ears

Gods telling us to listen more

My troubles aren't a brick wall, there a speed bump

My life isn't out to get me, it's here to create me

Pray I see another day

Everybody got the same 24 hours like you

It's just how you set your mind to use them

I'm a real nigga

Scratch that, Real Man

Ain't nothing stopping me from my plans

If i'm starving, im fasting

Talking has never gotten a man to win

These hands can fight

But my mind's got them recreating something bigger than that

Slit my throat, im fine without speaking

It's easier watching the fake

What’s a cut to a man that's already been shredded?

I ain't stressing

God said the blessings on the way
