Clearing the Haze

We were called crazy then.
To us they were not benign.
We fought our brothers opinions.
We were seen as out of line.

We did sit-ins to stand out
We marched and some met the pearly gates.
The simple idea of equality.
It was too much for some who would hate.

By retrieving the rights
We proved that they were crazy
and we cleared up the boundaries
of right and wrong that were hazy.
