We stand in silence.

we both knew,

but neither said a word

as eyes meet of the heads of

the others in the room.

The only thing we see is us.

Click.

We laugh and laugh,

until it hurts.

Neither of us had left bed,

hair a mess with yesterday's clothes,

but we didn't care.

Click.

I didn't hear you come in.

I didn't have to,

I felt it.

The shift you make in my space.

You wipe away the tears

and with one grounding look

that whispered as loudly

as a jet engine,

"Because I love you."
