The Cliff

Standing on the edge

Looking down into the swirling abyss below

That could be my watery grave

Just a quick step forward

And it would all be over

Leaning forward

Thoughts flooding in

The sound of waves crashing assaulting my ears

It would be so nice

Just to sleep

Sleep and never wake up

Life is so complex

Death is easier, quicker

Less painless

I decide

Take a deep breath

And step back
