Climbing

Climbing to the top, Reach, extend, stretch. I can get there; I must How long can I climb? How far is up? Cold pierces my body, yet my body is warm. My head is light. Fear surrounds me. My eyes are weeping as the clouds roll by. Sunshine allows the tears to fade. My beaten soul clings to the wall ahead of me. Four more days-off to college. Climbing to the top, Reach, extend, stretch. Goal!
