The Clock of Life

A clock tells time,

It tells us how much time we’ve wasted

But not the times that count.

It doesn’t stop when we die, or start when we’re born.

It just goes on whether it’s right or wrong.

It just “ticks, ticks, ticks”

It helps us all, but does nothing except tick, tick, and tick.

Why then do we want something that ticks?

To show the time we had, and the time we still have,

To show us we are one part of a big world.

So use your time wise,

Cause you never know when it could be your last.
