As the Clock Ticks

As the clock ticks, time goes on, all you think about, is what went wrong, waiting patiently to understand, knowing that you never can. As the clock ticks, more minutes pass, still wishing and hoping, dwelling on the past, desperately struggling not to fall apart, feeling the violent beats of your heart. As the clock ticks, you grow to learn, what could have been, but instead it burned, the pounding increases in your head, going over and over what was said. As the clock ticks, Life comes to a finish There may be no more future But to eventually diminish Accepting your unbearable past You are in peace at last … The clock ticks no more
