Clocks

You can’t catch time

In a net

Or seduce it with promises

Nothing stops.

It rolls like a tumbleweed

over the desert

You can’t grab hold of it.

Only it can grab hold of you

And blow you over

the Edge like a sailboat.

Time is like a shark.

It comes upon you

while the sun blinds you

It eats everything

levels worlds

ruins kings

Mostly it cannot stop

like a tiger shark

in the smoky deep

It goes

And goes

and goes

and goes

Until it stops.
