clocks (dedicated to bowie)

we made a grave mistake by playing this game called love

nirvana’s just too hard to find

you broke my back you faked my heart and returned it to your coven

teeth grind all this time

and the clocks tick left and right until i die

and you bury me in a golden hide

but you didn't want me to die all alone

so you bury my

bury my heart in stone

it’s a chess game and im the pawn

you are the clock

i've been hiding all along

but now my time is up

game over for me

i grab my knapsack and i swim into the black sea

and the clocks tick left and right until i die

and you bury me in a golden hide

but you didn't want me to die all alone

so you bury my

bury my heart in stone

i’m hiding on the moon

but when i see you

i still swoon

we are the broken sun

as the waves crash down

we are the iris of a broken sound

and the clocks tick left and right until i die

and you bury me in a golden hide

but you didn't want me to die all alone

so you bury my

bury my heart in stone
