The Clockworker's Tale

Tic Tok

It is me he mocks

A chagrin on his moonlit face

Mocking me and my distaste

For complacency

Tic Tok

A life of hard knocks

Never one to give in

Fighting the demons from within

For sanity

Tic Tok

Goddammit i'm lost

Lost to the darkness once more

Listening to my own sobs behind my bedroom door

For God's sake

Tic Tok

It is me he mocks

Wasting what precious time i have left

These eyes that have wept

For time is of the essence
