Close Your Eyes
You said – ‘Close your eyes’
I did just that.
Then you said – ‘Cover them tightly with your palms’
I did just that but, my eyes hurt,
I didn’t tell her about my hurt.
How could I sound my inquisitiveness?
How could I ever stop seeing her?
Did she compel me to close my eyes!
The feared Darkness is not only in my eyes,
It has covered me as a black shroud does,
I do not remember anything,
I even forgot to uncover my eyes, remove my palms,
I did not go to sleep because she occupied my mind.
And as suddenly she ceased to exist,
No longer did I feel her presence in that Darkness,
There was no need to probe that Darkness to find her.
She was not some flickering flame located far away,
She is within me.
I shall meet her when I breathe in next.
