Closed Eyes

I am pain and pleasure

I wonder what awaits me but fear not the unknown

I hear voices of past loved ones

I see everyone's life before my eyes

I want nothing and desire not

I am pleasure and pain

I pretend I am God

I feel nothing but fake empathy for your sake

I touch your hand when no one else will

I fear what awaits your soul

I would cry for you, but I can't

I am not God

I am forever

I understand eternity

I say nothing

I dream of dreaming

I hope one day I can rest, like so many do before me

I am Death
