Closest thing to a mother I have known

Whispers catch the wind and carry a message to my ears. I hear your voice the message brings tears. Oceans in between us but that’s not very far. It was you who was there when I was to broken to care. The closest thing to a mother I have known. Gave me a heart when none was there. You rescued me from the world of smoke and mirrors. Chased away the demons that rested in fears. Long nights of waiting by my bed side holding my hand and wiping the tears. The closest thing to a mother I have known. I hear your cries just know that I am there. You’re strong as Hercules, with the heart of Venus. Your love is my blanket on the coldest nights. Just as you were there for me I am there for you. The closest thing to a mother I have known.
