Closing the Gap
.
I want to leave nothing for you to discern.
You haven't done anything to deserve the tax payers’ dollars you earn
Handing out a worksheet doesn't insure that I learn, I need to be taught, I value education.
A poster child for a failing nation, but it's worth it to you for the summer vacation.
You teach arithmetic but I've learned none, asking for help is to look down the barrel of a gun.
You choose favorites and make sure they pass, meanwhile the creative ones finish dead last.
This wasn't your career choice, you chose it because someone failed you.
Now it's your turn to leave the next generation with no clue.
But it's not just me who's catching on to the corrupt, our youth is a volcano soon to erupt.
Navigating, we need no map, we're gaining speed and closing the gap
