Closing Time

bittersweet moments

lasting memories

soon it will all fade

exciting but misery

friends or acquaintances

12 years or less

we never forget our experience

leave out all the stress

a few months

until adulthood

we’ll be on our way

waving goodbyes like we should

time has passed

so instant and abrupt

i will miss you all

we’ll have running makeup

you all deserve the best

i hope you follow your dream

pursue your career

this isn’t the time for shedding tears

time to look good

caps and gowns

turn your tassel

i don’t want to see any frowns

this is the day

we’re all grown up

start a new life

we don’t need to develop
