Closure

Dear X,

Thank you.

You gave me a reason to look forward to school,

Even on the most terrible of days.

Your humor made me laugh harder,

And made me smile brighter.

You flipped the switch;

The happiness switch inside me.

Thank you for showing me what genuine happiness felt like.

But most importantly,

Thank you for teaching me the lesson of letting go.

You taught me that some people are only meant to be in your life temporarily.

Everything happens for a reason.

We were meant to become best friends,

And we were meant to drift apart.

I’ve never been in love,

But you were the closest thing to it.

Thanks again, J
