Cloud 9

I used to love life  so much

I was on cloud nine

And I imagined that was just

How everyone else felt, too.

Who allowed me to be on cloud 9?

They should never have let me

Get the idea of a perfect life

Into my little head.

When my life fell apart

Cloud 9 disappeared, and I fell.

But who was there to catch me?

No one.

Everyone was gone

And I was left to climb

Back up to cloud 9.
