cloud gazer
there is a kid who sits and looks at the clouds
and reaches for them when no ones around
but he stays as if his feet are bound
if his dreams were water he'd surely drown
and if he tried to scream no one would hear a sound
trapped in a deep abyss with no light around
where his heart rises and is just as quickly slammed down
and funny as it sounds i know how he feels
he feels like a car trying to drive with no wheels
like a kids will to survive but rarely seeing a meal
so he resorts to his only solution which is to steal
not possessions but the happiness people feel
by pointing out whats fake and whats real
the truth hurts, or so he's been told
which he found out when he was told
his dreams could never unfold
all because of some problems that had taken their toll
on his soul
and behold
the kid thats used to hearing no
who has vowed not to let his emotions show
the kid who refused to tell anyone what was going through his mind till almost a year ago
the suicidal attempts that never worked through
and the fear of the day he lets it all go.
how do i know how he feels and what he knows
cause I'm that kid.
I'm the kid thats used to hearing no
and I'm the one who's afraid to let it all go
all the pain and anger inside.
but remember if there is one thing that no one can strip you of its your will to do your best and survive.
