Clouds are looking over me.

I am a seed. Growing underground, not seen the light of day.

I only see my thoughts and feel the cool, soothing, dirt around me. Nothing but calm. As if there is nothing around me but the image of fear, nowhere to be found.

I'm out. The sun shining right on my face, almost burning because no one told me to wear sunscreen. With no protection or a word of advice, I have grown out from the ground into this bright sea of blue sky.

I am scared. Zoom! Unaware, unaware of what just flew by me.

Could it have been my adolescence? Or was that my self confidence?

Now I'm growing, a flower. The clouds watering me. Clouds hiding me from the sun. Clouds keeping me safe from the hurt.

The clouds dont allow me to see the sun, so now, wilting. Dehydrated, clouds forgot to give me water today. The clouds are taking too much care of me, not allowing me to grow.

I know the world only wants the best of me to grow, grow as strong as a tree.

But I'm only a flower.

Trying to be what the world wants to see, I push myself to be better than can be. I try so hard I almost pull my own roots out.

However, the clouds root me back down with their water, whisper "It's ok not to be a tree, but be the prettiest flower there can be, please."

Stuck between being someone the world wants me to be and being the me they believe me to be, I am lost. Not able to uproot and leave, i am underage. Unforbidden.

As I grow, I have learned to be very cautious of how I grow and what I think. While the clouds do something for me, i also have to do something for myself and be a better flower than I was yesterday and allow some petals to fall.
