The Clover and The Rose

A Rose, a Rose, what a marvelous Rose, Florid and Bright; She dominates my sight, A Rose, a Rose, my sweet, beautiful Rose. She’s cold, she’s cold, the winter has come, Until her Clover Came snuggling over; She’s warm, she’s warm, her Clover has come. A Clover? a Rose? one might just ask, But she loves her Clover, And he loves his lover; A Clover! A Rose! In each other’s love they bask. What love! What love! So true and so strong, Year round they fight, Through day and through night; What love! What love! Eternally long. Her hero, his love, they hold each other tight, They share the same soil, From their Farmer who is loyal; Her hero, his love, they live in His light. A kiss, a hug, their joy is each other, He holds her in his arms, Entranced by her charms; A kiss, a hug, their joy lasts forever.
