C'mon Man

Dear Ben,

You sit smug, convinced that because you've done some self reflection, you're life is complete. However, simply knowing truths about yourself by itself is a useless skill to have, unless you are willing to act upon those realizations. It's nice that you are as introspective as you are, but that is a double edged sword that will eat away at you if you continue to be too scared to do anything about it. This is because the more that you understand yourself, the more you realize that the only thing that is stopping you is yourself. You keep trying to convince yourself that soon the day will come where you will have the desire to push yourself out of your comfort zone, knowing damn well that it never will, that the only way to live a fulfilling life is to bite the bullet and do what you need to do to achieve what you want, regardless of whatever feelings of fear you may feel. You need to move past the complacency that your self reflection has induced in you. You need to quit being so damn comfortable with being comfortable, and understand that you can either keep being comfortable until you die a death full of regret, or you can let go of whatever quiet arrogance you've constructed within yourself that tells you that it's ok to not put yourself out there, becuase you've already got it all figured out. It isn't that complicated and you know it, but are too afraid to act upon it. You hold yourself to a higher standard than this. Quit talking about being about that life and start actually being about it. C'mon man.
