Co-Dependency

Two fish in a bowl One dies Sinks upside down to the top. Without a mate, The second fish goes insane. Smacking its frail body into the clear bowl Like a forlorn and abandoned mutt. Gills frantically breathing in water Never enough for the second fish to catch its breath. Soggy fish food fills the bowl’s rim, And the second fish starves, Floats, dead, to the top of the water. The container drained of life.
