Coach

For as long as I can remember,

from January to December,

my determination hasn't come loose

because I'm inspired by Coach Barousse.

Track and Field may be my first love,

but Coach Barousse never pressured me to play with a glove.

When all the turf burn cleared from my skin,

my whole family wanted me to win.

But even before quitting baseball,

it was Coach Barousse who helped me give it my all.
