Cold
You were the sunset
on the last day of summer;
I never wanted you to be over
but now that you're gone
it's awfully dark
and much too cold.
Did the birds of spring ever return?
I don't know
and without you here
I don't even care if the flowers grow
It won't be winter forever
but I think I'll always feel this cold.
