The Cold


Teeth Chatter and people scurry from their cars to buildings

to savor the heat that's waiting inside.

There is a cloud-covered sky 

and we haven't seen the sun for what seen the sun for, what feels like an eternity.

I can see my breath and there are little bumps on my arms.

I wonder if I will ever be warm 

again.
