Cold and Hollow Breeze

I am lying here awake like a corpse,

Until I am asleep.

Then I will be asleep like a corpse.

I tried to copy the Sun

Before the night killed my only friend

It looks as if the Sun copied me

But it's too dark to know

The night whispers with the wind his story.

His words weighed on my soul

The breeze is not as light as I wished.

His breeze does not push me down far enough

The breeze is not as heavy as I wished.

His breeze cannot move me or my body

The breeze is not as strong as I wished.

His breeze can only move my breathe

The breeze is not as weak as I wished.

Because I wished on the night’s stars.

The breeze carries my voice to my unproclaimed grave

My body will soon follow

To meet with what is underground

My soul will finally be heard

But not understood

I have to stay silent,

Until I am asleep.

For the night does not return what he steals

Yet he allows me to wait,

Until his breeze brings me to where my breath is buried.

I am lying here like a corpse,

Until the breeze becomes a tornado.

And lifts my longing limbs away

Away from that first breeze of the billion breaths

Down to where my breath is the only breeze

Away from where I needed to speak but could not

Down to where I do not need to speak but can

Away from where the noise kept me frozen

Down to where it's naturally cold enough to choose silence

So I can finally be asleep like a corpse.
