Cold Sun

The Sun shone over the treetops,But Crisp-its rays do feel.No warmth to melt the frost of night, Nor thawing balm to heal.
Its bitter greeting- foul and false-Welcomes me with a sneer. My realization of its act,Brings neither joy nor cheer.
And as the sun lays down for night,Its final rays Deceiving-Reveals the cruelty of winter,Its phony light- Receding.

With this poem, I hope people will understand that sometimes what we picture is the best is not all it's cracked up be. Although something may look nice and welcoming it be the very opposite.

-RM
