Cold Sun

The sun was cold today.

Its icy rays shot right

through the cracks in my skin,

freezing the blood in my veins.

My breath caught as

the bitter wind

seared my throat and

my eyes began to tear at the

terrible bright light. And yet-

there is beauty in this cold sun. A beauty

that could take my breath

if I had any to give. A beauty

terrifying, but so seductive I fear

it will pull me into a

blissful, numbing, eternal sleep.
