Cold War

Caught up in this cold war

where children die young and the old die off

the feeling of not belonging to such a money hungry blood driven world

I can be killed for the Jordans on my feet

or held at gun point for my purse

why, because the thirst for green supercedes the relevance of life

innocent children slain in cold blood for bitter vengence

elderly folks watch the streets eyes alert, afraid they are victims, next

Again I say

Caught up in this cold war
