College

All my life you sang me one song,

Education.

To go to college

And gain exceeding knowledge,

That I would need to succeed,

Now you say

That I may have to stay?

For you cannot pay

The price of my knowledge.

What?

Shouldn't you have been saving up?

Why must I be the one to give up?

On my dreams and what I could become.

With all this knowledge,

From finally going to college.

I say no.

I will not stop,

I will save to the top,

And I will obtain,

the knowledge.
