College

From the moment that I was a young child

I had thoughts and feelings that often ran wild

They stormed and they raced and I knew right then

That if I tried hard enough, I knew I could win

The hearts of many, how hard did I try

Despite the rough nights, when there I would cry

All I wanted was to be someone

To be anything, not only the one

To one day grow big and spread my wings

But there were the challenges, oh so many things

Like money, and power, and financial bills

Oh, how will I be someone, here comes the chills

I want to be a teacher, and spread all my knowledge

But in order to do that, I must go to college

I will need some help, oh just a few tips

But what I really need is a good scholarship

So, please help me out, so I can achieve

My dreams since childhood to help believe

That I can be someone, I can be anything

To help teach young kids, and spread my wings.
