college

it's the end of the stench of sunscreen, chlorine,
long days spent by the pool.

you are seventeen, eighteen,
it's the beginning of the end of high school

it's the best time of your life, senior year
common app essays are the only thing
that drag you down

but its the beginning of the end of high school
and the start of the school year
