college challenges
College has arrived and there is nowhere to hide.
Your parents are no longer guiding you by their side.
In this great moment of change you feel lost.
You wish to return to simpler times at all cost.
Why were you not prepared for this crash?
Maybe with a college preparatory class.
Instead of being introduced to college’s operations,
You are shipped off to this place full of chaos and frustrations.
Freshmen are welcomed with smiles of reassurance.
Quickly subjected to this ever going occurrence.
High school is meant to get you primed,
Not fail you in your most important time.
Four years of high school has lead to this moment,
Yet the confusion hinders our chance to own it.
If information is food for the mind.
Then freshman are starving for a directional sign.
If students were informed of the year ahead,
It would be filled with more productivity and less dread.
Students continually enter blind as a bat.
Never fully prepped and that is that.
