College Life

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Why does my sister keep taking my shoes?

The sky is blue

The grass is green

Why do my parents always make me clean?

As I look out my window

And watch the rain

Homework is becoming a major pain,

And working at the café makes me insane

Now I'm a waitress by day

And student by night

I am attending college to set my life right

Sometimes it’s great

Sometimes its bright...

Sometimes I just want to say goodnight

I close my laptop and lay in my bed

With dreams of the future wrapped in my head

At the end of the day

All I can say

Is that I know everything will be okay
