A College Student's Reality

College is the opportunity of a lifetime I went for a better education and I promise when it's time I will walk across the stage again just like my final day in high school I won't have a diploma I will have a degree So jobs today can take a closer look at me But it is hard today to get and education With all the money problems we face its just another debt-like situation And yes there are scholarships for which I can apply But the chances of getting them are slim, but at least i tried Money is a reason many young folks are in debt But they chose an education to be better than the rest Like them I refuse to let a piece of paper control my life Being ruled by an inanimate object, to me that's just not right College is an opportunity of a lifetime I won't let anything stop me, and as for my education I will get mine
