Color
Beauty. You're too dark for that
Your luscious skin once again
has been attacked by such harsh men
torment and hate was destined for your fate
speak loud and brave, defend your fight
no color no race shall determine the end
Courage invades your blood
in the fight to speak up to speak out
but no person speaks when a knout is at his feet
Fear and silence is in the lead
that make those wise men fetal again
You bent backward so that he does not have to
you sacrificed your life so that he may live his
you had struggles on a daily while weak and fading
to ensure that your baby will not know the freak
Hung and chained by the depths of your domain
pushed and shoved by someone inhumane
only to strive for one small thing
Determination. Enterprise. Guts. Trumiph. Power. Bravery. Tenacity. Heroism. Resolution. Strength. Puguious.
and all that you are, you are color.
