Color Blind

(poems go here) How do you describe color to a blind man? Like do I say “Man that Red is so, vibrant, so distinctive, so sexy, so RED.” There is just no way they could understand. Just like when I seen that woman selling her body I told God made you beautiful, how could you disrespect something so Godly? But that woman said have you seen what I seen, she asked me, exactly you cause you wouldn't understand no lights in crib, but your child in their crib, crying for food you can’t provide, tears in yours and their eyes, scared that singing lullabies might be your last goodbye, to your seed, and if needed you’ll be a married man’s mistress. Because how you tell a two year old he can’t have that Elmo doll he want for Christmas? You know you gotta sell your soul to buy soles for shoes and clothes for your son who always cold, to make sure he wont catch colds no more. So you gone get in that backseat and blow they minds, leave shaking when you done like epilepsy seizure. You gone standout like handout among millionaires, walking down that boulevard like you got someone to impress, well wearing this dress, to please that man in that car that’s so vibrant, so distinctive, so sexy, so RED. But there’s just no way you can understand. Just how angry red makes me. Imagine gunshots hitting your significant other, causing head shots, that lead to red dots splashing on your Cotton white T-shirt forming images of ink blots. Which is fitting of the crazy situation. You try to catch her body before it hits the concrete. But you she slips like right through your hands like your fingers were sculpted from ice. As you carry her to her home, you are Atlas. Carrying a world that is that no longer exists. The world that will never she tommorow. February the 15th. The teddy bear you got her once white is now more red than Santa’s jumpsuit, her murderer never in a jumpsuit, but you have felt like a prisoner ever since. The prisoner of this color. This vibrant, so distinctive, so sexy, so EVIL, this RED. But how could you understand? It’s impossible to describe a color to a blind man.
