"Color Me Korean"
“Color Me Korean” by Kiana Blanchard
I can feel the dynamic Korean thrum of familiarity in my ears
As it colors my monochromatic domain.
Sparks of pigment pulse, leading me to euphoria.
I am wholly consumed by its flashy masquerade and
We dance as if we are one.
Attraction is key as it lures me in
Leaving me no choice but to be held hostage
By the diversity of its culture.
Hues of its language penetrate my very essence,
Seeping into me like a moisturizer for parched souls.
My vessel is possessed by the vigorous sway of the melody.
I am renewed after suffering the complete absence of sound.
This strain materialized
Blaring its vibrant being into my deaf ears and
An explosion of sensations overwhelm me
As I ingest the brilliant tints of resounding chemistry
Between me and this music.
