Colorblind

I used to paint such wondrous things
in my mind
but now I'm colorblind.
You've left my eyes gray
And my senses dull

My ears used to hear
the Amazonian music of leaves
and rustling animals
But I am now left stagnant

My lips used to taste the
honey and green apples
the sweets and the sours
before you left me barren.

My hands used to feel
the warm embrace of others
before you left me and my body
to be a shallowed capsule

My nose used to smell the
bitter cigarettes and wine
that inhabited your breath
but you left me stopped in time

My mind used to paint such wondrous
things in my mind
but now you've left me
Colorblind.
