Colorblind

Dear Society,

When the light no longer exists,

Humanity will be caught in the midst.

The world no longer considered a wonder

or one with the fulfillment of color.

For the light provides a spectrum,

Hues to incomprehensible for some.

Many will cry for the light

Unwilling to accept the night.

Others will embrace a new reality,

a new colorless fantasy.

The light has already began to fade,

by the cause of a new modern age.

At the will of their own,

They’ve dismissed the unknown

Rejecting the light

and giving up their sight.

Don’t let the others see a day,

Where everything has faded to gray.

When the light is gone

Their existence becomes a pawn.

We must all accept the light

And continue to fight.

Never pretending to be colorblind

In a world not confined,

to two colors -

black and white.
