Colorblind

Wish I was colorblind

Differences weren't relevant

Soon as I was to find

A dog is not an elephant

But what about the hurt

so important color

sep'rating whites from dirt

white man, and his black other

I saw the implied sign

judge not man by his soul

but by the color of his skin

the racism unfolds

If the world was colorblind

would this not be the case

would man walk side by side

and finally embrace

Not so much a difference

between two simple men

a dream I'll always reference

but not until the end

Brothers walk side by side

man to man, sister by sister

may racism not abide

and with every passing day may change come closer
