In a Colored World
I live in a rose-colored world.
Its roots are innocence,
So darkly pure.
Kindly hidden,
Naturally protected,
In Mother Nature’s warm, damp hands.
I live in a rose-colored world.
Its stems knotted, twisted.
Sprouts striving further.
Wearily growing,
Continuously reaching,
Believing this path has no end.
I live in a rose-colored world.
Its sharp thorns
Cause hurt that
Naturally scrapes,
Unemotionally scars,
That inevitably solidifies in a greater strength.
I live in a rose-colored world.
Its blossom, its soul,
Where God’s Glory unfurls
To constantly give rest,
To humbly give love,
To mightily give the intangible,
And color the world once again.
