Colors

Before our eyes are opened, how many colors can we truly see?

Do rainbows actually speak, or are the lights all a facade

A memory meant to be passed down generation through generation.

And do dogs really feel our sadness, or are we so desperate in this world that we seek

companionship in order to feel, not, alone...

Growing up, no one was on your side

saying that their was no reason to cry

and that we should always give rather than take.

But now someone has taken from me one too many times

and now I have that empty feeling in my brain

something saying, don't complain.

but poetry is all about expression and

words meant to soothe our ambitions and emotions.

Reaching out and Hoping that someone else understands us because

poetry provides others insight into the feelings we don't truly understand ourselves.
