Colors

Once upon a time, colors were colors On the wall and on paper They were beautiful and still are Even when they were beside each other Even when one was drawn on top of another. But a time came when colors weren't colors They became people: black and white. My senses became crippled I couldn't believe what I heard I couldn't believe what I saw. Since when was the world black and white? What happened to the other colors? It was then I realized that my days of innocence The days when I didn't need to worry The days when life was what I wanted to see And not what people said it was. I wanted to go back But only then did I realize the blessing of childhood innocence I see differently but don't feel differentry Because colors are forever beautiful Regardless of what they are and how they look
