colors

I remember there was green,

Open spaces,

A yellow dream,

With summer air to breath.

I remember there was blue, blue was there too.

When I slipped away,

Like a beautiful storm,

The yellows, greens, and blues

Left and turned to gray.

People paint pictures

Of the colors they see,

It doesn’t bother me much,

I forget half the people I meet.

Because not every color

Is what it seems,

And not every person,

Can see vibrant dreams,

But that will never fade,

The colors of me.
